SPRINT-Sen Project : Publication of the research Protocol

The research protocol for the SPRINT-Sen project has been published in the Journal of Community Systems for Health. Titled “Extreme heat, exclusive breastfeeding, and maternal mental health in northern Senegal: a population health intervention research protocol for the SPRINT-Sen study,” this article outlines the scientific, methodological, and operational foundations of this study conducted in the Matam region of northern Senegal.
This publication highlights the international and interdisciplinary nature of SPRINT-Sen, led by a team of researchers in Senegal, France, the United Kingdom, and Bangladesh with complementary expertise in public health, climatology, health geography, epidemiology, maternal and mental health.
Through a population health intervention research framework, the study combines a quantitative approach, qualitative investigations, environmental temperature monitoring, and the co-development of actions with local communities.
